Take A Look Inside Autumn Calabrese’s Calabasas Home

Real Estate

Autumn Calabrese is best known as the face of fitness powerhouse BeachBody and as the creator of the 21 Day Fix. Her practical approach to fitness and food is no different than how she approaches her life at home. Originally from Ohio, Calabrese is truly the mom next door, but with a body admired by millions.

There is a vibe of warmth and approachability that’s exuded by the trainer in every aspect of her life. According to Independent BeachBody Coach, Nicole Ivory, who is also a mother—the fitness celebrity balances being aspirational and motivational by providing a solution that really works. After all, there is a reason why she is BeachBody’s most popular female trainer.

Calabrese purchased her 6,550 square foot Calabasas home in 2016. While she lives with her ten-year-old son and golden doodle, there is plenty of room for guests with a total of seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. While grand and upscale, Calabrese’s home shows that family comes first in her life.

The Kitchen

The heart of any home is the kitchen, especially for Calabrese and her family. This kitchen won’t look familiar to people who watch her cooking show, Fixate because that’s filmed at Calabrese’s Studio City home, where she lived before purchasing this property.

She put her own touch on the space hanging fun food-themed art and giant utensils on the walls.

But other than that, there has only been one major change to this space since she moved in. The original black granite countertops were recently swapped out and upgraded for ever-trendy Carrera Marble.

The stainless steel double-doored Sub Zero refrigerator has plenty of space to hold lots of healthy food and snacks. The kitchen has not one, but two islands and is accented with a glass subway tile backsplash. Every detail has been carefully thought out, including a pot filler faucet over the Wolf oven range.

Dance Room

As a dancer, it’s not a surprise that Calabrese’s favorite space in the home is her dance studio. “It’s so bright and airy and it has space for me to lift weights or do a dance workout which I absolutely love. I was able to decorate it with my plaques, trophies and other awards for the work I’ve done in the fitness and nutrition industry. It’s my happy place,” she shares.

She even installed Sprung specialty flooring, which is exactly what you would find in a professional studio. This type of flooring is engineered to absorb shock and make dancing and high impact moves a little easier on the body.

Gym

Calabrese’s gym is truly a testament to the BeachBody program, showing that dedication trumps physical space and expensive equipment. The narrow room has a StepMill, Hoist system with TRX, plenty of free weights as well as a few other standard accessories like a Boscu and slides. As one of the leading fitness professionals, it’s surprising the space isn’t really too different than the average home gym.

The Office

Calabrese converted one of the bedrooms into her personal office. With a large desk and comfortable set up, the space holds her awards, photos and merchandise. She worked with an interior designer to create a workspace for her to be as productive as possible while celebrating all of her achievements.

Family Room

The home has a large, sunken family room with built-in seating and a plush carpeted floor. She enjoys having family and friends gather in this space. It’s even where she recently hosted a screening party for her episode of Revenge Body with one of Calabasas’ most famous residents, Khloe Kardashian.

When she first moved into the home, Calabrese considered renovating the space, but ultimately decided to keep it as it was for the most part. She wanted this room to be a place where the kids could be kids and run around freely, without adults having to worry about them bumping into or damaging furniture and decor.

Dining Room

Calabrese loves using the space to serve healthy and delicious meals to her family. The charming room is also where her favorite piece of furniture, the dining table, is. “It’s this huge, round, French country style table that my entire family can sit at whether is Sunday dinner, the holidays or a random Tuesday.”

Living Area

There are several living spaces throughout the home. What’s interesting is that Calabrese sourced most of the furniture from Pottery Barn and Amazon (with a few pieces from the more upscale Restoration Hardware thrown in), because her goal was to create a space that was both practical and aesthetically pleasing. “I love to mix and match my furniture to fit my personality. Some of it is very nice, but a lot of it is very practical and affordable. I wanted to be able to live in my space not feeling like it’s a museum. I didn’t want to have to spend my time watching my son’s every move to make sure things don’t get ruined,” the trainer confesses.

She wants everyone to feel as comfortable as possible. “We lounge on our furniture to watch television and movies. My son and his cousins like to pull the cushions off the couch and make forts when they have sleepovers. I wanted furniture that allows for that and still looks beautiful.”

The Great Outdoors

The home is situated on 2.25 acres of flat land with a jaw-dropping view of the hills. There is every amenity a family could want including a pool, spa, tennis court, vegetable garden and even a vineyard.

While Calabrese enjoys the outdoor gym, her son really appreciates his half-pipe. They both love the trampoline.
