Villa Serenity, a magnificent mansion perched on a steep hillside on Mykonos, the Greek Island known for its gorgeous beaches and vibrant and chic nightlife, combines five-star hotel luxury amenities with the best qualities of a sprawling family vacation compound.

The Villa, completed in 2022 is the property of Nicolas Treppides, a Cypriot entrepreneur who recently founded Moneygate.com. Until now, he has used it as a family getaway and rented it to guests for $10,203 (€9,500) a night during the off-season and up to $26,846 (€25,000) during peak season per night, which includes the services of the staff. This week he announced that he is putting Villa Serenity on the market for $24.7 million (€23 million).

“Serenity Villa is the first villa on Mykonos to be like a five-star hotel,” says Elpida Kennedy of Kennedy’s Group, who manages both the rental and the sale of the property. “It has the amenities, the staff, the luxury and, it is in the island’s best location. It is never windy there.”

The protected south side on “the Island of the Winds” is calm, a respite from the stiff sea breezes that have scoured the rocky island of Mykonos bare. Psarou Beach and Villa Serenity are tranquil, sheltered from the wind.

“The architecture on Mykonos is known for its curves,” says Elpida Kennedy. “In this house, the inspiration was taken from the local building traditions and there are no 90-degree angles anywhere.”

Situated on 7,500 square meters of hillside, Villa Serenity sleeps 20 people. There are eight bedrooms and nine baths, seven of them en-suites with walk-in closets. A huge open-space living room/dining room/ kitchen complex, with extensive glass window walls offers unobstructed views to the stunning Psarou, Platys Gialos and Paraga beaches. On the lower level of the villa fine-dining lovers will discover a professional, restaurant-level kitchen for the in-house private chefs to work their magic, as well as separate staff quarters for the 10 live-in personnel. An outdoor home cinema, adorned with state-of-the-art equipment and top sound systems, awaits on the huge patio to offer fun and leisure under the summer sky.

A rare feature: this is one of the few properties on the island that comes with its very own organic vegetable garden and a private mini-farm, as the cute and cared-for hens of Serenity Villa offer the freshest eggs every morning for breakfast, directly from the coop.

Beside the enormous primary bedroom, Villa Serenity has a children’s room with two bunk beds and en suite bath; the remaining guest rooms reflect the modern trend toward equal rooms that are each a primary bedroom in terms of size and amenities, a great plus for multi-family use.

Of course, a villa like this has to have a pool: Villa Serenity has two. Both infinity-edge pools, one measures 18 meters, while the larger, 27-meter pool is heated. All the guest bedrooms have access to the lower level pool while the primary bedroom opens to the smaller, upper-level pool.

Psarou Beach and Nammos, Mykonos’ famous beach club are withing easy walking distance. The island’s bars and restaurants, the airport, Mykonos Town and the closest market are all between three and five kilometers away. This is truly a small piece of paradise in a legendary location.
