Rent A Noted Interior Designer’s Hamptons Home This Summer

Real Estate

If you ever wanted to rent a noted interior designer’s abode, you have the opportunity.

Designer David Kleinberg recently listed his East Hampton home for rent for the month of August for $125,000.

Kleinberg has been extensively profiled in Architectural Digest and listed in the magazine’s AD 100. The 1980s East Hampton ranch, which Kleinberg bought in 2012 and renovated, was also profiled in the magazine.

The article notes how Kleinberg lay white clapboard planks flat, versus overlapping them, to give the exterior and living room a more modern look. He also enlarged the windows and raised the ceilings 18 inches throughout the home and decorated with midcentury furniture.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home sits at the end of long driveway, on 4 acres adjacent to a nature preserve. The property has a heated pool with a bluestone terrace and a private guest cottage and detached 2-car garage.

Matthew Breitenbach of Compass has the listing.
