Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios has listed his Malibu beach home for $75 million. The Paradise Cove property is located among some of the most desirable homes in the California beach city.

About 45 minutes from Los Angeles via the scenic Pacific Coast Highway is Malibu, playground of the rich and famous and their fabulous beach homes. Chelios’ Mediterranean-style mansion is on a spacious 1.7-acre lot, offering one of California’s best ocean views.

An impressive entryway leads to a grand living room, featuring breathtaking views of the coastline through its large windows. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances, ample counter space and a cozy breakfast nook. The primary suite includes a spa-like bathroom, spacious walk-in closet and a private balcony that overlooks the ocean.

With four additional bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and a separate guest house, the property has plenty of space for hosting visitors. A private stairway leads to a one-bedroom, detached guest house on the sand with a living room, full kitchen, three big decks and a rooftop for entertaining. The backyard features a large pool and spa, a built-in barbecue and bar area, and multiple seating areas to relax and take in the stunning California sunsets. Or you could practice your putting skills on the property’s own putting green.

Located a short distance from Billionaire’s Beach, Paradise Cove with its white sand, turquoise water and views of the Santa Monica Mountains is a popular spot for sunning, surfing, fishing and boating, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com. It lives up to its name and has been the setting for many beach scenes in Hollywood movies, including Beach Blanket Bingo, Rockford Files, Gidget and Baywatch to name a few. The beach is seen in music videos for Madonna, Fergie and Coldplay and was a backdrop for a Marilyn Monroe pinup photo.

Chelios is tied with Gordie Howe for the most seasons played in the NHL, a star both on the offense and, especially, a defensive specialist. He is an NHL career leader in penalty minutes, holds the league record for career playoff games and was a two-time U.S. Olympian. His 26-year career included the Montreal Canadians, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings and Atlanta Thrashers. Chelios retired in 2010 as a three-time Stanley Cup champion and was named to the NHL All-Star team 11 times. Chelios has been involved in several business ventures, including restaurants and bars. He has also dabbled in acting, appearing in several films and TV shows. On top of that, Chelios provides hockey analysis for NHL coverage on ESPN.
