British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will spend new year’s eve at a $42,000-a-week villa in the Caribbean.

Johnson and his girlfriend Carrie Symonds arrived this week at Mustique, a private island in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines archipelago, where they will spend the rest of their holidays.

The couple is staying at the Oceanus, a six-bedroom Moroccan-style villa on the island’s West coast.

They are reportedly sharing the mansion with the British-German aristocratic Nikolai von Bismarck, a descendant of the German Chancellor Otto and partner of English top model Kate Moss.

It is unclear who is paying for the expensive property, which overlooks Mustique’s Britannia Bay and is currently listed for an eye watering $42,000 between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

The ‘Moorish castle-style villa’, designed and built by Swedish architect Arne Hasselqvist in the 1970s, was renovated in 2016 and is now available to rent at an average $20,000-a-week.

The vast mansion comprises a dining room, covered dining terrace, a library, two bars and three swimming pools, as well as six bedrooms with their own bathrooms.

Oceanus features 260 degrees of the ocean and has household staff who live on site, including a butler, a chef, gardener and housekeeper.

“The open air plan provides the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor living spaces,” a brochure for the villa reads.

“Multiple sunset decks and lounge areas with seven lighted water features make the property well suited for entertaining. This tranquil villa rests harmoniously on a hilltop overlooking Britannia Bay, which offers perfect trade wind breezes and panoramic views of the surrounding Caribbean and lush landscape of the island.”

Mustique is a favoured holiday spot of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Singers Mick Jagger and Bryan Adams, as well as fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, also own properties on the island.
