Design Star: Next Gen host and former Dancing with the Stars pro Allison Holker Boss has millions of followers on social media. Many regulars pop in to watch Holker Boss, 33, and her Ellen Show DJ and dancer hubby, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, 38, blow up TikTok and Instagram with the latest dance craze.

Whether they are eating glazed doughnuts, vacationing or celebrating birthdays, fans have watched the duo build and share family, friends and dance life with the world.

However, followers may have noticed some changes behind the scenes of the couple’s six-bedroom, seven-bathroom Los Angeles home. On Friday, Holker Boss revealed the home makeover of five rooms in the family pad in partnership with Pottery Barn and the brand’s Design Crew, a complementary service offered to customers online and in person.

Why Pottery Barn?  Holker-Boss has owned pieces from Pottery Barn and says she felt like they prioritize style and quality; the Design Crew was a bonus.

“Being able to collaborate with them was incredible,” she explains. “They didn’t just focus on products but also how we use our spaces and saw the vision I had and helped me bring it to life.”

Pottery Barn and Holker-Boss redesigned the entryway, the front room, the living room, the breakfast nook and the outdoor patio, seeking to create spaces that work with the casual but busy vibe of one of Hollywood’s most dynamic working couples.

The two met on So You Think You Can Dance and married in 2013. Their brood includes daughters: Weslie, 13, and Zaia, 1; and son Maddox, 5.

With family and dance as a backdrop for much of the activity in the 4,600-square-foot house, Holker Boss says it was essential to create a space that could adapt to their active lifestyle. To meet this design goal, the Pottery Barn Design Crew added movable and multifunction pieces such as Universal Cubes, Menlo Swivel Arm Chairs and a York Slope Arm Deep Slipcovered Sofa to the space. Neutral tones allow the areas in the open-plan house to flow, creating a peaceful retreat that has ease and purpose. Holker-Boss’ favorite pieces are curated on the Pottery Barn site.

“As we thought about the evolution of our home as our family grows up, I wanted a space that maintained our aesthetic while also feeling not just like a house, but a home,” Holker Boss told Forbes

What is the family’s most treasured new space? The living room/great room is a family favorite. “We have always loved coming together as a family, and it has become the perfect space to unwind after a long workday; to easily dance out our energy, with some quick rearranging; or to settle down into a family movie night,” she says.

Holker-Boss designed every space with the family’s needs and routines in mind. “We envisioned spaces that could serve all different kinds of activities and our nonstop lifestyle. We prioritized pieces that were multifunctional, like the Big Sur Modular Sectional couch and seamless storage in our entryway. Both are very highly-trafficked spaces, and the updates we made have helped us use them to the fullest,” she adds.

Holker-Boss says the family loves the sectional sofa. “It fits us all (plus guests), allows for some seamless rearranging for our Boss family dances, and in keeping with the brand’s commitment to sustainability, helps foster a healthy home, which is so important with children,” she notes.

The makeover is not lost on the kids; they love the Balboa Swivel Chair in the living room.

The home’s great room connects to a kitchen with doors that open to the patio space and the garden.

“Our home feels timeless. It is absolutely stunning and has such an incredible flow to it. It’s a peaceful retreat for us to come home to after a long day of work and school,” Holker Boss says.

The family is looking forward to creating new moments in the house. “We have already been eating our dinners outside on our new patio dinner table. It’s a great space for us to relax, laugh and share a good meal,” Holker Boss says.

“I am so incredibly grateful for this experience,” she adds, “and my family has the perfect space to create lifelong memories and enjoy our home to the fullest.”
