A Fully Fitted-Out Equestrian Estate In Oregon Asks $19.5 Million

Real Estate

This riverfront estate in Wilsonville, Oregon, was designed and built over 10 years for the breeding and training of sport horses – specifically Warmbloods, a middle-weight group known for its athleticism, trainability and calm nature. Called Wild Turkey Farm, the equestrian facility encompasses 215 acres set along the Willamette River.

Beyond the gated entrance, a long winding drive weaves through landscaped grounds containing fenced paddocks, barns and buildings such as a breeding lab. A stone-clad owner’s residence with an infinity pool surveys the pastureland and wooded acreage.

Practice grounds include outdoor and indoor arenas, viewing areas and ample trailer parking. The five light-filled barns include 97 stalls with private runs and all the accoutrement – feeders, automatic waterers, grooming stalls, vet rooms and tack rooms.

Helping keep track of the millions of dollars’ worth of horses that come through the farm are 106 security cameras placed throughout the property.

The more than 33 pastures are enclosed by four- and five-rail fencing. Water rights from the river keep the site irrigated. A pond collects run-off in the winter.

An arched portico and arched front door mark the entrance to the two-story main house, which centers on an open plan great room with a massive stone fireplace. Designed for entertaining, the space adjoins an informal dining area and the center island kitchen. The formal dining room contains another fireplace.

A den, a library, a media room, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms are also within the 9,855 square feet of interiors.

Patios, an outdoor kitchen and an open-air living room expand the living space outside.

In addition to the home’s two-car attached garage, a detached garage contains another two parking spots, an office or studio and full a bathroom. There’s also a manager’s house.

A dock along the riverfront features a boat slip and a patio area.
